Buffer Bill passed!! Back up 35ft in Mass!!

On November 13th 2007 Governor Deval Patrick signed the Buffer Zone bill that was passed through the Senate and the House in weeks prior. This means a visible, enforceable, 35ft perimeter around health care providers such as Planned Parenthood. This is a monumental step towards provided safe health care for all people. No longer will men and women have to be harassed when they are simple going to the doctors. Bravo MA!! Thank you to organizations such as the NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts, for making my life safer and protecting my rights!

Lobby Day HeyHEYHEy

Starting at 10am you can show legislator how much you support safe access to women's health clinics, and comprehensive, age-appropriate health education for our children! Put your Vs up and join me for lobby day! C'mon it just feels good actually fighting for your rights rather than just talking about it...Check out PPLM for more info and to register.

I swear we're not crazy--It's simply our physiological makeup

I recommend this book more so to men then I do to women. Us ladies already know that crazy things happen to our bodies, not just once a month but all the time!! The Female Brain explains what exactly is going on in our head and bodies that make us act the way that we do. Although the book has some physiological terms it's enjoyable to read--I promise it's not like reading a text book for a Bio class--I skimmed right threw it in a few hours (and I am a slow reader).

Any man who is planning on having a relationship with a woman should read this book--also all you fathers out there you may want to pick up a copy while you're at it...it'll make those teenage years a whole lot easier..or at least easier to understand.

5th Congressional District of MA Make "Yours" count--vote that is..

This is Niki Tsongas's most recent TV ad regarding her position on the Iraq war—I think we get her point. I will be campaigning for Niki this Saturday, to remind all those in the Lowell area to get out there and vote for this great Democratic Congressional candidate. Put Niki in the White House PLEASE—This country needs all the help (Dems/women) we can get!!

Blonde Humor for your Hump Day

Two blonde girls were working for the city public works
department. One would dig a hole and the other would follow
behind her and fill the hole in. They worked up one side of the
street, then down the other, then moved on to the next street,
working furiously all day without rest, one girl digging a hole,
the other girl filling it in again.

An onlooker was amazed at their hard work, but couldn't understand
what they were doing. So he asked the hole digger, "I'm impressed
by the effort you two are putting in to your work, but I don't get
it -- why do you dig a hole, only to have your partner follow
behind and fill it up again?"

The hole digger wiped her brow and sighed, "Well, I suppose it
probably looks odd because we're normally a three-person team.
But today the girl who plants the trees called in sick..."

Surviving the streets of Boston and looking good

You never know what/who you'll run into on your dailey commute through the city. Often you find people that are asking for money...Now I am very unlikely to give into people on the street selling things or your occasional alcoholic bum. However today was a bit different.

This young woman stopped me while I was making my way to Sephoria, and just my luck she was selling this amazing cosmetics survival kit by Victoria Jackson. Now I had no idea who Victoria Jackson was, but apparently she's kind of a big deal Hollywood make-up artist. It wasn't whose make up she’s done, or who she is that got me to spend 20$ on this Survival Kit it was the product itself..it's awesome. In one little convenient container you've got everything you need to do your makeup..minus foundation; 10 eye shadow shades, 5 lip glosses, mascara, 2 shades of blush, a brush, lip liner, eye liner and a mirror...it's crazy that all this stuff fits in one.

Anyway Victoria Jackson's new Survival Kit is something that all "on the go" women who wear makeup should have because it's so convenient and way easier to store than a bulky makeup bag.

Apparently it's not in stores yet, but when it is I highly recommend it.

Hey Ma- What's Up?

No I am not your mother! In fact I'm not anyone's mother so please don't refer to me as one. "Hey ma"--does that line actually work? Do women/girls/females respond to that? Because I certainly don't.

It's ridiculous what males think is acceptable to say to women on the street; shortie (side note-I'm 5'8" which is kinda tall, and guys who are shorter than me have called me that--I don't understand it), hottie, sexy, baby, mamma, etc. and those are just a few of the PG names I thought of as I was writing this.

How about "excuse me miss..." That might work. Actually being polite, respectful and sounding interested in something else beside my ass.

1955 Good Housekeeping article--haha

A friend emailed me this article..thought I should post it just for fun.

Chivalry isn'T dead

I was fabulously surprised this past week with the two random acts of chivalry that I encountered during my daily commute on the T.

The first and the best was a young guy, around my age...your average college 20 something male (oh did I mention he was quite attractive…in fact he was the definition of the word "fine")...anyway of course the T was packed, the red sox probably just got out or something…yes this means I'm standing up juggling my Charlie ticket, ipod and cell while grasping on for dear life to that silver handle thingy. About eye level with my vagina was the guy (who was sitting). And no he didn’t offer up his seat but still he was kind. So we were somewhere around Pleasant St. on the B line when this ridiculous virgin T rider stumbles into me and nearly takes me down. Might I add that I'm not a tiny girl, a thick woman if you will, so to make me loose my footing is no easy task. Anyway, a look of fear rushes over my face as this big guy falls onto me, I am taken off guard by the strong, kind, hand that grabs onto my arm...it was that fiiinnne looking young gentleman I had noticed earlier...He saved me from udder embarrassment...because if it wasn’t for him my ass would have been on the ground...and he did it in such a calm matter that it didn’t even interrupt the convo he was having on his cell. I looked into his eyes and mouthed the words "thank you"..I'm pretty sure he knew how grateful I was.

Then the next morning I encountered another act of chivalry although this one was less remarkable. Usually people are racing past one another to secure themselves a place on the T..well not this morning in August. A guy actually backed off and although I told him he was there first to step up ahead of me...he refused and insisted on me entering the T before him...it was lovely and made my day just that much brighter.

So in conclusion, chivalry is not dead, it just isn't thriving. However I thank those out there who are kind to a woman..not because she is of the opposite sex, or thought of as weaker...but simply because it is the nice thing to do. Thank you.

Watch Your Step After Dark

If you're in the Boston area, breathing and have a vagina you've probably been told this news story by concerned friends and family who keep up on the news. Yes..another assault has occurred along the Esplanade in the wee hours of the morning.

I'm just taking the time to remind all you ladies to not walk alone at night if it's not necessary...Oh wait, you already knew that? Duhhh!! Most females know it's dangerous to walk alone at night. It's just not fair that having a vagina makes you handicap and incapable of making it home safely.

Everytime I leave my friend's house, a bar etc. and it's late and I'm alone..hell yeah I'm scared of what's lurking in the dark. But I've still walked home and I'm thankful every time I make it safely to my front door.

This whole violence against women/rape culture that we live in is pathetic. No wonder men have more money than women it's because women have spend all their money on cabs---well ya know what I'm saying.

I wish we all lived in a world where things like this didn't happen..but we don't. So our best defense if we must walk at night, be proactive about it.
-Have your keys (or another sharp, painful object) and cell in hand (with local police set on one of your speed dials)
-get pepper spray
-walk the long way, if it's more lit and populated
-fuck it, walk in the street, so people can't snatch you from the sidewalk
-don't wear your hair in a long ponytail or braid (easier target-can be grabbed)

to all you fellow nightly walking women..be safe and stay strong

haha whale tale

According to a SHEunlimited interview; whale tails are a fashion don't on the work front.

I'm going to have to agree with this one...all you ladies out there don't get your panties in a bunch and be caught with a whale tail...that's not hot..haha maybe that's why Lindsay and Brit don't wear panties..to avoid the whale tail!

SORRY, BLAME IT ON ME- AKON

Thank you Akon for taking the blame and going out there and talking about what happened. It wasn't the best situation ever, but I'm glad Akon stepped up and took responsibility for his actions. Although when I first saw that clip of Akon savagely humping that girl it disgusted me..and well still does. I appreciate him coming clean about it and talking about it..and well I do enjoy the song--I just hope other people that are jammin’ to it get the message behind it.

rock4rights :: stop violence against women

fair trial? I think not

Okay so in an assault trail how the hell do you take away the constitutional first amendment right of freedom of speech??!?!?! In this particular situation the defendant's (Pamir Safi, an Army reservist)defense attorney (Clarence Mock) argued to have the words "rape," "victim," "assault," and “sexual assault kit” from the testimony throughout the trail.
I just don't get it. How do you not allow certain words (especially those) to not be used in court? I'm just confused, and pissed off.

It’s hard enough, embarrassing enough, and emotional to be put on trial as a victim of rape..and then on top of the judge isn't going to allow you to identify yourself as a victim..what is going on in the world? I feel bad for this woman...it doesn't matter if she was drunk..drunk women don't say "hey I would like to be taken advantage of now". This world is just ridiculous.

It is not the judge's right to out-law certain words, it's the jury's choice to decide if Tory Bowen was raped, assaulted, and a victim.

I can only imagine what Bowen is feeling right now..or should I say for the last three years because this incident occurred in 2004. I would be a wreck...so yeah I think outlawing the first amendment is bullshit...come on this is suppose to be America people!

Minge is the new Cunt?!

Okay so I just discovered..or was rather was introduced to the word minge. It's another vulgar term for vagina..However just as I have learned to embraced such vulgar terms to call a woman and their reproductive whatnots (CUNT and BITCH)..I am now going to continue on and welcome the word minge into my vocab..and plus it's way more fun to say than cunt...haha

Thornton's supports the V squad

So after work I was partaking in a little Friday night fun with some coworkers at Thornton's Fenway Grille. When it came time to break the seal I was amazed at what I found in the ladies’ room...free feminine products! It’s was such a surprise…lotion, hairspray, tampons and pads oh my! Every ladies room should have these things on hand for their patrons. It’s the little things in life ya know..well I just thought it was fabulous..of course the sink was clogged but I suppose you can only ask for so much in this life..haha..thank you Thornton’s for makin a girls life a little bit easier.

yeah batgirl!!

thank you feministing for this great lil youtube piece of feminist food for thought!

The Cougar...on Feminist Blogging

I suppose I've been a feminist my whole life but didn't really begin to embrace the F-word until my college years, when I began to understand the meaning behind it. Being a feminist is basically--me fighting for equal rights among the sexes…the want to not be discriminated against because of what is between my legs.

Blogging for feminism is just part of my activism. I would say that all day every day I'm throwing my Vs up...spreading knowledge about the need for equality and feminism. My blog putyourvsup.blogspot.com allows me to put my feminist ramblings into words, it’s an outlet to the blogosphere. Blogging has given me courage to know that I'm not alone, in fact there are many men and women out there fight for equality in various ways.

The art of mastering the blogosphere is one that I haven’t got down, but I’m working on it. There’s tools everywhere and once you start blogging and surfing the web, you’ll be amazed at the resources you find out there about things that you’re actually passionate about—I’m telling you it’s inspirational.

Yeah sure I was scared to be discriminated against and yeah I get made fun of for it and called a dyke but w/e I know who I am and what I stand for...and lets face it if you don’t stand up for yourself, then who will?

So stand up for what you believe in, I promise it will make you feel a lot better about your life--and who knows maybe even change the world a little.

As for myself, I'll continue to spread feminism...one V at a time.

The Upwelling of Lee Moretti

The Upwelling has a new addition to their band--gutarist and vocalist, Lee Moretti. She was rescently picked up by the band in early April. I had the pleasure of hearing The Upwelling at Babson College a few weekends ago, where I met Lee. She's awesome and a great addition to the band. She rocks out on stage and is totally down to earth chick that seems to love what she's doing with herself right now. Vs up the the Upwelling for their choice in their new bandmate.

Loved your show! You guys and lady totally rocked! It's not every day that you go to a concert where the opening act puts on that great of a show.

your Third Eye is Blind to Feminism

Stephen Jenkins lead singer of Third Eye Blind claims the stance of feminists to be "weak", Saturday, April 21 after a concert at Babson College, Wellesley MA. Now I am paraphrasing a lil bit but that is basically what he said. Yes I heard this with my own ears people--his words stirred deep inside of me... He went on for a few minutes as to all the various reason in which he believes us (people who are feminist)to be weak. Jenkins' reasons were that feminist separated themselves making themselves unequal..blahh blahh blahh and that we (all people) are all one yada yada yada...He went on to say that we're all human, that he is a black women, china man, Latino and named other various races, ethnicities, to make the point that ya know we as living, breathing, people should come together and not separate ourselves into such categories. Although I believe that every living, breathing human should be treated equally--regardless of whether we like it or not our society loves labels-they can't get enough of them in fact.

And sorry Jenkins you're not a woman no matter how much you think we are all one and whatnot--yeah not so much. People's differences is what makes the world beautiful and amazing, so yeah if we all truly were "one" than the world just wouldn't be half as much fun or interesting...and well I wouldn't be blogging about this right now--not that you probably care but you were right I was getting mad about your comments, but I will agree to disagree with you on this one. And although you may know how to get into a vagina, you have no true idea of what it's like to actually have one. Just like I don't know how it is to be a man, or anything else but a Caucasian, middle class female.

Okay..yeah I feel better now...

Aside from that concert was awesome I jammed out, I'm not gonna lie..and like who doesn't wanna meet a rockstar? I mean I had him sign my arm before we had this convo.

So this is how this lil convo came to be:
After the show my friend Hannah (major fan) and I got to chat with Jenkins. It was random, there was a group of people around and Hannah, Jenkins and I started talking. He made some comment to me, and my response surprised him a little. Anyway, whatever I said was motivated by my pride in my vagina...I don't know, the night was a bit of a blur but regardless, I was upset to hear him--a man who is able to sing in such ways that touches women (by women I mean me, Hannah and any other 3eb female fan), then also turn around and call me "weak"...damn...

Feminism on Emmanuel College Campus

This is Put you Vs up's first and very own video. In it I went around EC campus asking random students/faculty members about feminism and its relevance in today’s society. I know the video quality isn't top notch but something went wrong with the file and how it was processed. Regardless you get the gist and we worked hard on putting it together. Just getting people to talk about feminism was difficult, as soon as people heard the f-word they tended to turn the other way. Special thanks to Bryan for all your hard work, not many guys would help a crazy Cougar ransack college students with ideas of feminism—your help is much appreciated.

A good Law for Women

"I'm interested in who we are--internally and externally. Each person instinctively creates their own shapes,” says Natasha Law in Elle mag’s February 2007 issue. Law currently lives in London as an artist who creates multi media images of women; in which the motions and emotion of a woman’s body are captured. The women in her artwork are not posed but rather in more natural positions of an “average” women rather than a supermodel. Law’s images give new form to the beauty of women’s bodies.

Imus the Objectifier

Okay so right...Imus what were you thinking? It's not even the whole racial bullshit that really gets to me. It's the fact the Imus is talking shit about the Rutgers Women's Basketball team because of what they look like. Since when does it matter what you look like if you're good at what you do? Those women are damn good basketball players (didn't they kick some ass that day on the court?), who cares what they look like--black/white--nappy/perfect hair, they can play the game. It's just bullshit how women, no matter who they are, are objectified in the world of sports.

Female Ejaculation can be up to 2 cups!

Thought this was pretty interesting stuff...Yes females do ejaculate, psychotherapist Lisa S. Lawless, Ph.D talks all about it in her movie. This art form is also known as the "g-spot's kissing cousin"
A lot of people are not aware of this woman's wonder but it is true and it does occur.

Pussy for Peace

March 24th Beantown hosted a peace rally in the commons. It was pretty sweet. There was music, a march, and random people coming together in support of bringing our troops home. It was a little intense at times but inspiring how people came together for humanity in an anti-war protest. My camera ran out of batteries and I only got to take like two pictures so they're not that great.

Some Sweet Stuff

For all of you ladies living in various metropolitan areas you may want to check out your DailyCandy. It's great for a girl on the go; to stay savvy with what's going down in their next of the woods with a daily email on things from fashion, nightlife, eats, etc. Although I can't afford most of it as I'm a broke college joke--it keeps me up to date on what I would be doing if I were a young professional in the Bean. Cute pics too.

BBBBs can climb ladders too

Yes this Big Butted Blonde Bitch can climb a ladder, in fact I even get paid to do so.
Background info: I work in retail (yeah fabulous I know), and have to lift shit, and straddle ladders as part of my job---but apparently some people just don't get it. On a daily basis people (men and women, but predominately men) constantly challenge my ability to do my job and I'm sick of it. For example I'm often asked, "Can someone help me get something that's up really high?" OKay...someone..and I look at the person that asks me this..like are you kidding me? Apparently I must be a no one...or at least no one that is capable of actually helping a customer with something that is so high up. Give me a break, just because I am a woman doesn't me I can't climb a damn ladder..in fact I would even argue that I am better at it that some of the guys--so deal with it.

Lesbians, feminists and transgender women band together

Transgendered women may be feminism's biggest allies. Although some radical feminists have been known to bash on transgender women, I don't believe this should be the case at all. Start breaking down these borders through banding together.

Feminism? What Cowboys?

Okay so I heard this song the other day and actually listened to Paula Cole's lyrics to "Where have all the Cowboys gone?" But I'm confused as to what this song really means? Are there any cowboys out there? And do I even want them if they do exist? Anybody..comments? What is this song really about?

Behind the locker room doors

There's something extremely liberating about a women's locker room...or maybe it was just because I was naked...hahaha. No, but seriously, when I'm there no one seems to notice or care that I haven't shaved in a few days. There's a mutual respect and comfort found in that locker room. When I'm in there my mind and body are somehow aligned, and I am at peace with all my imperfections.

Women, War and PTSD

“I didn’t really start having mental issues until we got home,” says Keli Frasier Army reservist, who watched her squad leader die in Iraq.

It seems women are more likely to be diagnosed with PTSD than men who have been to Iraq.

Read more of this article The Women's War from the NY Times which speaks about women's experiences with PTSD after returning from war. There's a multimedia video that's pretty interesting too.

Maybe we want a one night stand--sorry you just can't handle that

Yes here we go again people--the constant double standard....Men get laid and they're "the man", women get laid and they're a "slut". Don't you think it's possible that a woman can actively pursue an attractive guy, take him home, use him as a piece of meat (with proper protection of course) and send him on his way the next morning, without even knowing his name nor wanting to? Laura Sessions Stepp author of Unhooked seems to think one night stands are more of a guy thing. I thought about actually getting a copy of this book to see what this woman had to say for herself, but I became too frustrated just from reading what others had to say about her.

Not that I'm encouraging men to be used as meat, or women to seduce and sleep with every guy they meet. I'm just saying, sometimes you (women and men) just want to get laid.

Why do people care so much about other people's sex lives? What others do behind close doors is no one's business but their own. Perhaps those that stay preoccupied with others aren't getting what they need out of their own relationship.

Dove Pro-age Campaign

This Ad has a great mindset behind it.

Don't get your Vickies' panties in a bunch

Fraudulent charges are being disguised as Victoria Secret purchases. Victoria Secret Escapes is secretly ripping off consumers by withdrawing from peoples' accounts, which on your account overview just looks like a charge for Victoria Secret. It happened my roommie, she didn't notice until recently after a second charge was made to her account(she didn't realize the first time because it's not like it's hard to spend $1oo at Vickies). Lesson of the day...keep an eye on debit/credit charges.

Since when is VAGINA a bad word?

I just want to find these three young ladies and tell them how phenomenal they are for standing up for their right to use the word VAGINA. Apparently these high school juniors were suspended for preforming The Vagina Monologues?!?! Give me a break people. Vagina is not a vulgar word. The Vagina Monologues although a little out there for some people is not half as bad as the shit you see on TV--put on a music video for crying out loud.

So you're not allowed to use the word vagina...which body part is next?

I'm just shocked that they were really kicked out of class for this...ridiculous. Feminism and questioning authority is education. The community should rethink those on the Board of Ed.

Yes! Feminism can be SEXY

Artist Janelle Rodriguez, NY local currently resides in the Bean. I'm no art buff but, Jennelle's creations are truly stimulating, thought provoking, amazingly beautiful and heartfelt. And yes SEXY, like this mixed media piece to your right.

Throw up your Vs for Janelle who combines her artistic mind and soul, with classic femininity to create masterpieces.

Headey chats about 300

Lena Headey is the best thing about 300

Headey, in my head is clearly the star of 300. Lena plays a powerful Queen Gorgo; bringing life, passion, and strength to her character. Gorgo, herself is a fabulous character, a positive, strong woman caught in the midst of a man's world.

The best line of the movie was when the Persian emissary says to Leonidas "Why does this woman think she can speak amongst men?!"

Queen Gorgo, replies, "Only Spartan women give birth to real men!"

Side note; the soundtrack is intense but pretty much rocks.

Is 30 truly the new 20?

Is Hova right, is 30 truly the new 20?
And if that what does that make me…10 or 20?
Should 20-somethings and 30someings be doing the same thing? If 30-something guys are partying at the bar with 20-something females is that okay?...Perhaps normal even? Because really how may 30-something women do you see out at the bar on the reg..hanging out with younger guys? I guess as you get older, the age aspect of people hanging out becomes not so much of an issue. As long as everyone is having fun perhaps once a person hits a certain maturity level, age really doesn't matter?.?.

Boys2Men

*If boys are toys…That must be why men are dogs…hahaha

Just a little something that came to mind. Think about it…I think that statement works on so many levels.

The Global Sisterhood

Vs up to H-Dubbs for sharing these sweet links with me and keeping me up with Feminism as a global issue...you rock girl!

Sisterhood is Global

Sisterhood is Global- by Robin Morgan

Take action and join the Global Sisterhood Network

I don't know about these Pussies!?!?

Pussycat Dolls (PCD)..okay yes they're hot. A few young women doing their thing...in that way I guess they could be a positive influence for women, but i just don't know.

Taking off you're clothes to sell records..not so much. And well anything that dresses that scandalously and is referred to as "pussy", well that doesn't exactly scream feminism. Instead I hear "objectify me now." Perhaps if the PCD were well known for their amazing voices and deep lyrics then I would be all about them. But singing things like "loosen up my buttons" or whatever that song is called, well I'm not requesting the PCD to record the new feminist anthem or anything.

But if they're happy with objectifying themselves, then who am I to stop them.

I'm not gonna lie..I jam out to their songs once in a while...and like I said they are hot.

A little something Silly

No big deal hahaha..this is a facebook message I received from one of my girls that i just had to share.

"Women have unique magic tricks; they get wet without water, bleed without injury, and make boneless things hard."

hehehe..I found it entertaining...thanks Whit

Obama and Clinton give hope and inspiration

Hillary and Barack honor those who fought for equality in Selma, AL. Civil Rights Actions of the past, like Bloody Sunday have given minorities many more opportunities for their future. Obama and Clinton are examples of such opportunities.

This video of the senators' visit to Selma is inspiring and hopeful...a monumental step forward in the battle of equality.

March for Women

Hello MARCH...You could not have come soon enough!! It's women's history month...time to celebrate all that we are!

Is America's "war on terror" terrorising our own citizens?

She is the wife of a US soldier. Her house was broken into last Saturday night. She was beaten, raped and basically left to die. She was alone that night, on that army base in Georgia.

This is a tragic, awful, disgusting, nauseating and true story. And I just can't help but think...she could have been one of my friends..she could have been me..she could have been you.

As American citizens we must fight a war on our soil; to end violence against women, including those of a military lifestyle.

Will this woman's story make the local papers in Georgia? Will this incident be investigated? Hopefully...but probably not. In my head every soldier on that base should be under an investigation, to catch the bastard(s) who did that to her.

But like many other military rapes/beatings of men and women, nothing may happen to the aggressors.
True justice for victims of military assault may never be served.

Women get an inch..the government takes a mile

After much struggle women finally made some headway with the arrival of the long awaited Plan B to be sold over the counter.

However, now it seems like the FDA has other plans for the Women's Health Office funds.

Oh yeah..apparently some people weren't too happy with Plan B being sold over the counter, so they decided to cut the Women's Health Office funds from 4 million down to 2.8 mil. Thanks a lot.

Ha Ha--Tick Tock goes the Cock Clock

Apparently it's not just women who may feel the pressure of time on their reproductive organs. Recent research claims that men may start feeling their biological clocks ticking, if they want to procreate "normal" offspring.

For once men might just know the wrath of biological determinism.

So Al Gore won an Oscar for The Inconvenient Truth. Maybe that means people will actually start trying to stop global warming?...Probably not. But at least good old Al won something for once.

I am an angry woman and a proud feminist

I just wish people; women and men could understand the importance of equality. The right to be human. The right for a woman not to be judged because of her vagina, emotions, ability to care, femininity, masculinity, the way she dresses, sexuality, etc.

It hurts to be judged on the person I am because I have a fucking cunt!

Yes, I am angry that women are disempowered by our patriarchal society. And Yes I AM A FEMINIST!! But I am not an angry feminist. I am a proud feminist. Proud of myself as an individual, a living, breathing, feeling person.

Quick Questions and Answers on Feminism

Uuggg..Feminist does NOT = lesbian

It seems that every time, or at least most of the time people talk about feminism, lesbianism is soon to follow (check out the YouTube video "quick Q&A on feminism" and you'll see what I mean).

Feminism does not equal lesbianism. Having pride in your vagina, does not mean you want to get into someone else's.

A woman can be;
1) a lesbian and not be a feminist
2) a lesbian and a feminist
3) a feminist and not a lesbian
4) or neither

It really doesn't matter. People are just ignorant of what feminism is. Spreading feminism is about spreading knowledge, about being HUMAN and being equal!

And since people often wonder, for the record I'm strictly dickly.

Camels are Bringing Sexy Back to Smoking

MMmmm...Hey ladies don't you just wanna take a puff of these pretty pink cigarettes? Well Camel is hoping you will. As a smoker of 3 years, I have to say that I'm not giving up my smooth and savory Marlboros for a little pink camel. But some of my friends have taken this light and luscious bait.
In my head Camel is just trying to appeal to a younger generation of females and get them hooked, by marketing a "sexier" cigarette. As for us veteran smokers were highly unlikely to venture away from our favorite brand of smokes.
Good job Camel and Co. you can now take credit for killing a whole new generation of women. But at least they'll look smoking (hot) before they get lung cancer...right?
